Assessment (ESIA) and Resettlement action plan (RAP) EEP’S Power

Transmission  line projects

This request for expression of interest aims to procure a consulting service to review and update draft Environmental and Social Impact Assessment / ESIA/ and Resettlement Action Plan or Abbreviated Resettlement Action Plan (RAP or ARAP accordingly/ which addresses all the Environmental and Social issues that most likely will occur during the execution of the project work and the operation periods with taking into considerations the national rules and regulations of Ethiopian Environment and social safeguard policies and guidelines. Ethiopian Electric Power (EEP) has identified several projects of power transmission line in Ethiopia,

1. The scope of services includes but not limited 4. to;

  1. To Review/Update existing Environmental and Social Impact Assessment /ESIA/ for connection of Koysha Hydro Electric Power Plant to EEP National Grid 400kV/230KV projects In Ethiopia
  2. To Study Environmental and Social Impact Assessment /ESIA/ for Woreilu 132KV Power Transmission line Project in Ethiopia
  3. To study Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for Shukute 230ky power Transmission line Project in Ethiopia.
  4. To Study Environmental and Social Impact Assessment /ESIA/ for Hargele 132 kV Power Transmission line Project in Ethiopia
  5. To study Environmental and Social Impact Assessment /ESIA For Ajibar -132kV Power Transmission line Project in Ethiopia.
  6. To study Environmental and Social Impact Assessment /ESIA/ For Beyeda 230 kV Power Transmission line Project in Ethiopia.
  7. To study Environmental and Social Impact Assessment /ESIA/ For Shakiso -230kV Power Transmission line Project in Ethiopia.
  8. To study Environmental and Social Impact Assessment /ESIA/ For Mekane Selam -230kV Power Transmission line Project in Ethiopia.

3. The Ethiopian Electric Power (EEP) now invites eligible consultants (“Consultants”) who have a license from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and climate change /MoEFCC/ to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants/s should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The short-listing criteria are:

  1. Relevancy of the core business and number of years in business;
  2. Relevant Experience in the field of assignment
  3. General qualifications and a number of key staff.
  4. license from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and climate change /MoEFCC/
  • Note: Individual expert’s biodata/CV is not required to be submitted with the Expression of Interest. The only summary of educational qualification and experience of available personnel are required.
  • Consultants may associate with other firms in the form of a joint venture or a sub-consultancy to enhance their qualifications.

3. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) method set out in the Consultant Guidelines. Further information can be obtained at the address below during office hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM local time. Expressions of interest must be delivered in a written form to the address below in person or by mail or by e-mail until 27 April 2020, 4:00 PM local time
