GIZ (Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH) is looking for a: Trainers to train soft skill training for job seekers/ pre-employment soft skill trainings for textile company’s On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Special Initiative Jobs (SI Jobs) programme of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) is promoting jobcreating growth in selected sectors in Ethiopia and is supporting companies, institutions and associations in creating a sustainable employment condition and jobs. SI Jobs targets private sector development for economic clusters in selected geographical areas and promotes sustainable investments that leads to more employment. 

Soft skills training program aims to improve a whole range of skills, like assertiveness, negotiation skills, leadership, team building, communication skills and the skill to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships. Soft skills training will make the individual aware of his/her hidden capabilities and hence it helps them to refine it for the overall development and success of the individual as well as for their company. 

Therefore, with the objectives of enhancing awareness level of job seekers on basic of soft skills and to familiar job seekers/ operator about industrial work cultures, currently, GIZ is planning to conduct soft skills trainings for job seekers before getting employment lassignment as an operator in the textile and garment sector. 

The GIZ Special Initiative Jobs (SI Jobs) project is seeking an experienced trainer in the area of soft skill training in textile and garment /manufacturing industry and has the capacity to developed power point presentations according to the training topics mentioned under the TOR. 

  1.  REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

Interested bidders who fulfil the following criteria can obtain the bid document starting from April 06, 2020, 8:30am on working hours via an email address: pcc@giz.de 

The soft skill trainer is expected to fit the following profile: 

  • 3-5 years proven experience of soft skills Training (specially experience developing and/or delivering corporate training and manufacturing industry related experience is a plus).
  • An expert in the fields of social studies, Education, Communication, Leadership, and Business or some other closely related filed.
  • The trainer should have the ability to make decisions, excellent communication skills, alertness, self-confidence, emotional stability, flexibility and a deep knowledge of industry, attention to details.
  • Strong command of the English language 

All bids must be delivered/submitted physically to the address below at or before 4:00pm local time on Monday, 20th of April 2020. 

Bidders should submit their Technical and Financial Proposals as per the issued tender document.
