(PROCUREMENT OF GOODS)

The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Second Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Project (SUWSSP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Procurement of 25 (Twenty-Five) Units of Vacuum Trucks In Two Lots, 

The Water Development Commission (WDC) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Procurement of 25 (Twenty-Five) Units of Vacuum Trucks in Two Lots.

Bidders shall furnish documentary evidence that it meets the following requirement(s); 

  1. Bidders must have undertaken at least 2(two) Contracts successfully completed implementations of the supply and delivery of goods each contract having an amount of USD 2,500,000.00 (USD Two Million Five Hundred Thousand ) for Lot I, and USD 2,000,000.00 (USD Two Million) for lot II with a similar Size, nature and complexity during the last 5 (five) years supported with names of clients, type and value of contracts. If the Bidder Participates on both lots the sum of each lot needed for both contracts, 
  2. Audited financial statements of the firm for the last 5 (Five) years to confirm an average annual financial turnover of USD 5,000,000.00 (USD Five Million) for LOT I, and USD 4,000,000.00 (USD Four Million) for Lot II. 
  3. Documentary evidences Liquid asset and credit facility of USD 600.000.00 (USD Six Hundred Thousand for lot I and USD 500,000.00 (USD Five Hundred Thousand for lot II, Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures asspecified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers Guidelines for Procurement of Goods, Works, and Non-Consulting Services under BRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants, issued by the World Bank in January 2011,revised 2014 “ProcurementGuidelines”, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest. 

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Water Development Commission, and inspect the bidding documents during office hours 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM Local time at the address given below. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ETB 500.00 (Five Hundred only) or $15.00 (fifteen USD). The method of payment will be in cash. 

Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 22 October, 2020 at 14:00 hours (2:00 P.M). Bidders are allowed to submit their bid by email, or through their embassy or local agents in the manner provided in the bidding document. Late bids will be rejected. 

Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below on 22 October, 2020 at 14:30 hours (2:30 P.M).
