The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received financing from the World Bank (WB) toward the cost of the Ethiopia Trade Logistics Project (ETLP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.

The Ethiopian Maritime Affairs Authority through its Project Implementation Unit (PIU) is the implementing agency of the project & would like to strengthen its internal technical capacity to manage the transformation of Modjo dry port to Modjo logistics hub and the implementation of the National Logistics Strategy (NLS) through the provision of a service of qualified & experienced Logistics Expert The objective of this assignment is to build the capacity of the Logistics Transformation Office (LTO) with competent Logistics professionals and thereby enhance the successful implementation of the NLS and ETLP

The EMAA now invites qualified and eligible Individual Logistics Experts (‘Consultants) to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested Consultants should provide Letter of Expression of Interest along with their CV, recommendation letters and other information (documentary evidence of academic background, evidence on experience in similar assignments, recommendation letters, etc.) demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services.

The short listing criteria for Logistics Expert position are qualification, competencies, expertise and experience in carrying out Logistics Expert activities in GoE & Bank financed projects.

The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants under IBRD Loans & IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers, January 2011 (Revised July 2014) (“Consultant Guidelines”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest, A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Individual Consultant Selection Method set out in the Consultant, Guidelines.

Further information (Detailed TOR for the assignments) can be obtained from November 8/11/2020 at the address below during office hours: from 09:00 A.M to 12:30 P.M hours and from 2:00 P.M to  5:00 P.M hours, Monday to Thursday and 09:00 A.M to 11:30 A.M and 2:00 P.M to 5:00 P.M hours on  Friday.
