Notice of Invitation for Bid

Gullele Botanic Garden/ GBG/ is an Ethiopian BGCI accredited botanic garden that conforms to the highest international standard. GBG is the only botanical garden in east Africa that protects endemic plant species that are used for various purposes by establishing an in situ botanical gardens where these endemic and endangered plants are grown and nurtured creating, a living gene bank.

GBG is hereby interested to make procurement of training service for the implementation of GIS and RS technology for the research and development of GBG. GBG, therefore, invites interested service providers to submit a tender in accordance with the Request for Proposal (RFP)

3. Required documents and Competency Training provider firm should meet the following points:

  • Renewed business license for the current fiscal year.
  • Copy of training service license.
  • Confirmations/Clearance for paying tax obligations
  • Copy of TIN (Tax Identification Number), VAT
  • registration certificates and registration on PPA
  • A bidder shall present data and testimonials that it has enough experience in providing training services of similar nature and other documentary evidence as indicated in the bid document.

4. Application guidelines:

A complete set of bidding document (hard copy of the detailed Terms of Reference (ToR) for the training service) in English can be purchased by interested bidders during office hours from the address mentioned below upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 200 (Birr Two Hundred) in cash:

The bidder shall submit the original and copy of the bid in separate envelopes sealed and stamped, duly marking the envelope as “ORIGINAL” and “COPY” for Technical and Financial proposals separately.

Wax-sealed bid marked to the bidders in the tender document must be received by the Gullele Botanic Garden Procurement Department within the next 10 working days effective after the announcement date of this bid. The document will be received through the bid box. No liability will be accepted by GBG for late delivery. The bid shall remain valid for sixty (60) days after the bid submission deadline.

Bidders should submit their offers technical and financial proposals  Separately as stated in the bid document and must be accompanied by a bid security of 2% of the total proposed contract amount in the original form of an Unconditional Bank Guarantee, C.P.O or Certified Check. The Bid Security shall be valid for at least 150(One Hundred Fifty) days beyond the Bid submission Deadline.

The document will be closed on the 11th day at 2:30 pm and Technical Bid Documents and Bid Bonds will be opened on the 11th day at 2:40 pm in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend on the date and address specified above in GBG hall. If there is any change on the opening date of the document Bidders will be informed. Clarification questions can be forwarded to the above-listed addresses.

Gullele Botanic Garden /GBG/reserves the right to accept or reject all or any parts of the bid at any time without assigning any reason whatsoever.
