2. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures specified in the Government Procurement Guideline. Interested Bidders should fulfill the following requirements: 

This invitation is for all Contractors listed above 

  •  Trade License on Construction Service Valid for the year 2012 E.C. 
  • Competence certificate valid for the year 2012 E.C. from Ministry of Construction and Urban Development.
  • VAT Registration Certificate
  • Clearance from Inland Revenue Administration Valid within the bid process time 
  • Registration certificate in the suppliers list under Public Procurement and Property Administration Agency 

3. Interested bidders on the submission of a written application in English language to DebreTabor University may purchase a complete set of bidding documents, and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 500.00 (Five hundred Birr) Starting from the date of bid announcement on newspaper. At the following address: – Debre Tabor University, Office of Procurement and Property Administration Building No 026 Second Floor Telephone: +251-584-410526, Fax: +251-584-412260/2030 Debretabor, Ethiopia 

4. Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 (One hundred twenty) days after bid opening and must be accompanied by a security specified under section 4- (bidding form) and shall be delivered to Debre Tabor University. 

5. For Contractors: Bidders shall submit one original and two copies of the Technical Documents in such a way that the original and each copy of the Technical Document after being sealed separately shall be placed in a single wax sealed envelope marked as “Technical Document”. The Financial Offer Document shall also be produced in the same manner as the technical document and shall be placed in a single wax sealed envelope marked as “Financial Offer Document”. Finally, both documents shall be placed in one outer mother envelope; every envelope should be wax sealed, signed and stamped properly. 

6. Bids must be delivered to the address Debre Tabor University on or before 11:00 AM on 21 continuous days beginning from the date of bid announcement on the newspaper. If the bid closing or opening date is on holyday, closing or opening of the bid will be the next working day at the same time and the same venue. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bid submission will be rejected. 

7. Bids must be opened in the presence of bidder’s representative, who chooses to attend in person at Debre Tabor University, main campus at 11:30 AM on the same date. 

8. Debre Tabor University reserves the right to reject the bid fully or partially.
